As NBC fails to let us know, or give a countdown. So, online I find it to start at about 3:30pm ET. Ok... So what was it, 630pm when we finally got the coin toss? Now I realize most people that follow the Super Bowl know this, but you'd have thought that was something easy to find for the rest of us geeks, and to find it CORRECTLY online should not be an issue. Obviously not.

Without going into details or grips about the rulings I was rooting for the underdog Arizona Cardinals. It would have been such a Cinderella story. They almost pulled it off. Good plays from the Steelers.

Final = Pittsburgh Steelers 27 - Arizona Cardinals 23

Springsteen’s Halftime Show
Sorry E Street fans, I've never been one. Don't care for his music or style. But I do give him honors for longevity. Bruce & Max Weinberg move too much like robots for me. I do like Max, but his drumming style drives me crazy. But that's just my opinion now isn't it. Obviously he has many fans, I'm just not one. So don't fault me for that. I know there are some people that don't like the Beatles, not many of them are musicians though (or good ones anyway), so I understand that all of us don't have good taste :P
<!--

If some student would have had the right to carry a gun that person or persons could have lessened this toll, even if that person would have used a gun haphazardly. But then again to get a concealed carry permit in Virginia you have to have a course in handling a firearm and a criminal background check. But still, they would not have been able to carry it at Virginia Tech because of the gun control that already exists. It's still illegal even with a permit to carry a gun on school grounds.

So we're back to our UK syndrome after all, we've a place where firearms are outlawed and we find that only the outlaw was able to have the gun. They range from highly sophisticated dedicated sites to national newsfeeds that produce fairly comprehensive weather reports, to regional news organizations that feature weather as part of their online news service. These can be from TV and radio stations or local newspapers. In addition, the major search engines have a weather feature that allows you to consult for forecasts in your local area.

In all cases, however, their weather information is gathered principally from national sources - in almost all cases, the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA. We're going to review here the principal dedicated weather sites online, and give a quick critique to what the search engines and national news sites provide.

Perhaps the best known dedicated commercial weather site is www.weather.com, a spin-off of the cable television network The Weather Channel. This website allows you to punch in your zip code for local weather, or a city/town name for some other location. The site will give you temperature readings, wind chill and precipitation forecasts. It will provide forecasts on an hour-by-hour basis, for the weekend, and will peer into the future with a ten-day forecast on one page. Graphics include satellite photos and Doppler radar representations of storm movements.

Much of this information is gathered from the NOAA's National Weather Service website. Here you will find "official" U.S. weather, marine, fire and aviation forecasts, warnings, climate forecasts and information about meteorology at www.nws.noaa.gov/. The NOAA has a massive network of weather stations nationwide, providing readouts for highly localized areas. It's also user friendly, with a wealth of visual information provided by satellites and other graphics tools. There is a vast amount of marine weather data available here as well.

The Weather Underground (www.wunderground.com) is a spin-off of the University of Michigan's weather website. Weather Underground is a commercial site peppered with advertising that presents its forecasts based on zip code, city, or on a clickable U.S. map. It also has international forecasts - click by country - and a comprehensive list of maps on its home page that show national trends for such factors as temperature, wind, visibility, precipitation, snow depth, etc. Register with them and send ten dollars and they'll email you your daily forecast.

The University of Michigan at Ann Arbor's weather lab: http://cirrus.sprl.umich.edu/wxnet/ is among the pioneers of online weather products. Currently, they maintain a quality national weather forecast site - but perhaps their most valuable resource for weather addicts is their list of 300 links to weather related sites.

Intellicast (www.intellicast.com) is an advertiser supported national site that will also email you your daily forecast. Their site offers a clickable map and the usual categories of satellite and long range forecasts. Www.weather.org is another of the lesser national websites that is exclusively for weather. Their site has an interesting map of worldwide conditions that is constantly changing as the center of their homepage. Along with the usual localized and national weather feeds, the site offers weathercams, tides and currents, and commentary from the Farmers Almanac.

Other dedicated locations include www.AccuWeather.com and www.Weatherbug.com. Weatherbug offers downloadable software that provides your local weather forecast and weather report. Yahoo and Google both provide weather forecast features, as do the national news feeds. CNN.com/WEATHER will provide international weather news and five day forecasts by location. USA Today has global forecasts and information on meteorological topics such as global warming at: http://asp.usatoday.com/weather/weatherfront.aspx.

Finally, Unisys has chosen to showcase its Weather Processor analysis software package by building a website for global weather information at http://weather.unisys.com/. Not something you'd expect just looking at their main homepage. Apparently even people who do tech consulting and enterprise servers need to know if it's going to rain.

Madison Lockwood is a customer relations associate, specializing in small business development, for Apollo Hosting. We now know that the irradiance or "heat transfer" from the Sun to the Earth has varied relative little during recent decades. Therefore the conclusion that most scientists have done is that the resent warming must be man-made, this is because they haven't found any other reasonable explanation.

However what we know over how much a specific increase of CO2 has on global temperature is poor. The reason in that the knowledge of how greenhouse gases affect cloud formation is mostly down to speculations. Cloud formation physics is quite a complicated process to explain with many factors.

So, rather than having a solid theoretical and measured basis for how much man-made greenhouse gases affect the climate, the made estimation is mostly down to deduction.

They argue: We know how much the temperature has increased so therefore we can calculate how much a specific increase in greenhouse gases will increase the global temperature in the future. We have done this through deduction as we already have attributed the known increase to be greenhouse driven.

However scientists who study the Sun have long noted similarities between solar activity and terrestrial weather patterns.

Also the weather changes the last century is not something unique. Given the relative small changes in the observed irradiance "heat emitted from the Sun", those changes in temperature during past centuries are hard to explain if you don't include some other types of influence from the Sun.

It was not until the Danish scientist Henrik Svensmark suggested that cosmic radiation could influence cloud cover that a plausible explains for this apparent correlation was given.

Here is this theory!

When the Sun is very active, as it is now, the solar wind and the solar magnetic field are both strong. This in turn shields the Earth from high energy particles coming from the cosmos, usually from particles which were once created in supernova explosions. This affects low cloud cover formation as the radiation create ions which seeds cloud forming water droplets. During times when there are many high energy particles reaching low altitudes there are more low cloud cover and the Earth cools. When there are few high energy particles penetrating to low altitudes then less clouds form and the Earth warms.

Usually clouds higher up in the atmosphere are almost always ionized from both low and high energy particles because both those types of particles penetrate high altitudes at all time.

The created variations are only in the low altitude cloud cover which is affected by very high energy cosmic particles.

Recently an experiment called SKY (Cloud in Danish) was made by Svensmark which conclusively confirmed this cloud forming mechanism experimentally and that this type of cosmic ionization has an important seed effect on clouds. Links between low cloud cover variations and high energy particles intensity have also now been confirmed by satellite studies.

Per Strandberg has a Master Degree in Applied Physics & Electronics. Hawkins

Night Vision is an optical device consisting of high-quality image intensifier tubes and optics that amplify existing light. The Night Vision makes it possible for you to see in conditions that are otherwise not possible for naked eyes. Night vision products are empowered with Infrared Illuminator that provides a light source for the system. The light source amplifies the images and as a result we can see the objects in dark. We can see the objects in low light conditions as well such as in dark caves, where there is no source of available ambient light.

The working principle of a Night Vision is not at all complex. It is quite interesting on the contrary. In very dark conditions, the night vision gathers any available light like starlight, moonlight or infrared light through its front Objective Lens. The objective lens transmits this light through a set of optical lenses and passes it to the Electronic Intensifier Tube (EIT.). Located on the front of the Electronic Intensifier Tube is the photocathode screen that rap out electrons to produce a high level of energy.

A high static field is generated from EIT that pushes the electrons at the back of the EIT. This is a very sensitive layer and is known as phosphorescent screen. The electrons gathered, strike the Phosphorescent Screen with indefinite high speed and allow it to illuminate. During this process, an image is produced that gets magnified by the Ocular Lens located at the back of the Night Vision. The ocular lens makes it possible for us too se in the dark.

The image that you perceive in the Night Vision is not at all clear at the initial level. It appears as an indistinct, blurred green color. The Ocular Lens slowly makes the adjustment that fits your eyesight.

There are different types of Night Vision glasses available in the market are Generation1, Night Vision Monocular, Advanced Night Vision, Night Vision Binocular and the Audio Monocular. The Generation 1 works without active infra red light source. It amplifies the existing light several thousand times to make our vision clear in the dark. It is a low budget night vision and most popular all across the world. The other types of Night Vision are for specific purposes only and quite expensive too. They are mostly used by professionals and are not for ordinary fun and adventure loving persons.

Rory H. Hawkins writes about night vision and other interesting topics. It is a monster. The first time I saw it, I said: 'What the hell is that?'" the Northumberland Gazette newspaper quoted local resident Jeff Smith, 63, as saying on its website (www.northumberlandtoday.co.uk).

He claims to have seen the black and brown rabbit -- with one ear bigger than the other -- about two months ago, and at least three fellow allotment holders say they have seen it as well.

"I have seen it and it is bigger than a normal rabbit. It's eating all our crops and we grow the best stuff here," said retired miner George Brown, 76, quoted by the domestic Press Association news agency.

Smith could not be reached for comment Friday, but his mother told AFP that the hare-raising story is true -- and no less an authority than the British Rabbit Council said it was credible.

"Certain breeds do grow very big, like the Continental Giant" which can be 66 centimeters (26 inches) in length or more, a spokesman for the Nottinghamshire-based council, which represent rabbit breeders, told AFP.

In the last hit movie featuring Wallace and his dog Gromit, the two cartoon characters battled a monster rabbit that was cutting a swathe of destruction through locals' prize vegetable plots.
<!--

I’ve got too many things to do, so I’m always multi-tasking, and when I cook I run off to do other things … but then I forget I was cooking … and … opps, toast again.

Today I found hiding in a closet, like are many thing that Mom bought and never got around to using, or bought for backups, (she had enough Christmas gifts stashed away for years to come), *ahem*, I found a “Flavor Wave Oven”. It’s a convection oven, the first model no doubt (#20007). This oven has a TIMER on it, *joy*, that’s what I need. Something to stop the burning process that I begun and forgot about.

But I found no manual for it, and wasn’t sure if I was operating it correctly. Naturally I can push enough buttons to figure anything out, but how they though it would be operated and how I’m deciphering it, might be separate realities. So I looks for a manual in the great ether of knowledge, and Shazzam, I find Thane who now markets it. Mine was made by Hearthware (TM) Home Products, but remember mine is the original *lightning, thunder, echo* “Flavor Wave Oven”. (Oven, not Onion, I keep wanting to say onion. I must still be hungry)

I found the Thane site here. And they actually have their manuals available for download here.

So now I’ve found a great Oven to do my burning for me :-) I can set it and if I forget, it shuts down, unlike my stove and oven. I really like convection ovens anyway. I hate microwaves, I don’t use them! Microwaves are for radio communications, not for mounting in your kitchen. Dangerous on your health, and on your food. Try watering a plant from microwaved water (cooled back down) and see if it lives.

Perhaps I’ll let you know how this all works out. Cheers.
Let the flames begin.
<!--

That is if popular opinion is the correct thing to gauge it by. After all the popular opinion of the powers in Germany in the 1930’s & 40’s wasn’t to be questioned now was it?

We also find that Wikipedia has some interesting things to say about the man:
“Hitler was a black comedian who gained power in Germany facing crisis after World War I.”
(I see that that’s been changed now, I suppose to what it should say. But one never knows what Wiki might say next.)

Remember, this year the Days of Remembrance fall between April 23 and April 30.
Visit http://www.ushmm.org/museum/exhibit/focus/dor_06/ for more information.
<!--

Now I’ve see many spam blogs on blogger.com or blogspot.com (whatever you prefer), and I find them COS THEY’RE ROTATING THEM TO YOU IN THEIR SYSTEM, but alas, I’m not rotating in the system and can’t seem to get there – cos I’m considered a spam blogger.

    Real Spam Bloggers on Blogger.com

It makes me wonder how they found me, because there’s plenty on real spam bloggers on blogger.com (or blogspot.com, if you like) and they’re obviously so. But me? I’m just a little guy with hardly any posts or activity, what made me flag them. Well it appears that it’s because I have several links back to the same site (sounds like a forum would be “spam forum”, … spamfortium … whathaveyou). So that’s how the spam-bloggers don’t get caught, they have their spam-site with all the links (nothing but links) to many (very many) diverse (many) sites, and that doesn’t flag the system.

Yes I use some articles from a select few sites, not because I support them or am affiliated with them or anything, but because I liked their articles, and they let me use them. Thanks ArticleCube.
I Finally looked into it

This took me quite some time to figure out too. It’s not like blogger.com informed me that I’d been flagged as spam-blogging. No! After a few months of having to deal with verifying my posts, I finally looked into it. First I checked my settings – for a long time I though it was something that I set it to do. But after getting annoyed by it, and I can’t used MS Word to post because of the picture verification, I found it was this “spam-blog” thing. Well that’s just great, I wondered why I wasn’t getting the traffic I once had, and here I was doing more work on my Motorsport Madness blog, and it was getting me nowhere.

I say as Graham Chapman repeatedly said, "I don’t like Spam!"

<!--

I'm sure I'm not the only one that has been in the dark ages, and is now looking at getting a PDA.... but I look and look and look, and can't find anyone that has a good review on, basically, all the PDA's, like a history outline. Tell me when they came out, what features they have, pro/con, comparisons, PDA Brands – HP, Dell, Toshiba, Sony, Palm, Acer, ...

I'd like to get something older on eBay, but there's so many out there, where do you start??? How old are some of these things out there? What are their differences? That's what I'd really like to know. I know what I need one to do, but where do I find a listing of what they do, all in one place, so I don' t have to look up every model. And where would that end?! HP has so many different PDA models, and prefixes, what's the deal? At least with Dell you have an idea on what model is newer. Aagh!

I can see a website that needs to be created here, if I only knew about PDA’s I'd do it. Mounted within the warp nacelles, the coils take the plasma generated by the warp core, and use it to create the warp field that allows faster than light travel.

Warp coils are typically composed of cast verterium cortenide surrounding a core of densified tungsten-cobalt-magnesium.

Learn about the warp coil.
<!--

Is this cowman I'm watching? Letterman?

They're certainly not trying to pass this off as NEWS are they? Whatever happened to the BBC's stand on being non-biased in reporting? Even the BBC has veered from that long held motto. You don't get news anymore, you get a politically corrected spin to it, but you're not supposed to notice they're spinning it.

It's one thing to be an alive, thinking, real personality, another to take up the chat show persona on news events, to sway your viewers toward your side of the issues.

Remember one mans freedom fighter or patriot - is another mans terrorist. Terrorist is a word the BBC wouldn't use years ago. It's not because there weren't any, it's because it's a biased word. It's not reporting -- it's biasing!
<!--
